    Introduction

    Flaxseeds have the benefits of slimming, but their uses are not only limiting to that but there are many other flaxseed benefits.

    The greeks and pharaohs have been known long-standing flaxseeds as one of the most important types of medical seeds with many benefits to the body, so what are the most important benefits of these flaxseeds?

    Most nutritionists recommend ground flaxseeds instead of whole flaxseeds as the ground shape is easy to digest. Whole flaxseeds may pass through the intestines without digestion, which means you won’t get the full benefits.

    The health benefits of flaxseeds are that they contain a high percentage of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, and phytochemical elements called leganes.

    One tablespoon (7 grams) of ground flaxseed contains 2 g of polyunsaturated fatty acids (including omega-3), 2 g dietary fiber, and 37 calories.

    Flaxseeds are usually used to improve digestive health or relieve constipation. Flaxseeds may also help lower total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels in the blood, which can help reduce your risk of heart disease.

    You can buy loose flaxseeds (by weight) – whether complete or ground – from many grocery stores and health food stores. Whole flaxseed can be milled at home using a coffee mill or food mixer.

    Flaxseeds are best known for their many benefits. Here are the best flaxseed benefits associating with eating them:

    1- Weight Loss

    One of the essential benefits of flaxseed is its role in weight loss because it is rich in dietary fiber and contains low carbohydrates. Hence it is renowns for its weight loss.

    Flaxseed contains glue, which, when soaked with water and eaten, helps fill the stomach and thus feel full and reduce the amount of food consumed during the day.

    But be aware that the body does not benefit from the powerful antioxidants it contains when taken in pills but should be taken ground.

    2- Treatment of Constipation

    One of the most prominent benefits of flaxseeds, used as light laxatives, especially in constipation, One should eat  by adding them to bread, rice, and whole grains such as breakfast cereals, salads, and yogurt.

    3- Reducing the Risk of Heart Disease

    Modern science has proven the role of flaxseed in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.

    It is rich in omega-3, fatty acids, and beneficial fibers that help promote heart, reduce blood pressure, and lower bad cholesterol.

    In addition, flaxseed is the richest plant source of alpha-linolenic fatty acid, making it one of the most beneficial seeds and oil sources to promote cardiovascular health.

    4- Protection from Cancer

    Various scientific studies have shown that one of the benefits of flaxseed is its significant role in fighting cancer.

    Ground flaxseeds contain many very effective chemical compounds known as leganein.

    Add a tablespoon of Powdered flaxseed to hot or cold breakfast cereals.

    Add a teaspoon of powdered flaxseed to mayonnaise or mustard when making sandwiches.

    Mix a tablespoon of ground flaxseed in a bowl containing 8 ounces (227 grams) of yogurt.

    Make ground flaxseed with cookies, bread, and other baked goods.

    As with other fiber sources,we should eat flaxseeds with plenty of water or other liquids. We should not take flaxseeds with oral medicines at the same time. So, always consult your doctor before taking any supplements.
